Scientist struck off for moonlighting

A biomedical scientist who forged a reference to get another hospital job while he was on leave has been struck off. Rakesh Chumber sent the bogus testimonial to a recruitment agency after claiming he needed time off to care for a sick relative. Chumber, who was employed as Histology Department at the Worcester Royal Hospital, then took up a locm position at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham.
