A former scout leader accused of abusing seven different children between 1980 and 1991 is fighting for his life in an acute ward, a court heard today. Christopher Fitchew, 77, molested children as young as 12 while working as a school caretaker, scout leader and martial arts instructor during the 1980s and 1990s in Wandsworth.
