Soldier accused of spying for Iran appears in court

A former soldier accused of escaping from Wandsworth prison after passing information to Iran appeared in court today (fri). Daniel Khalife allegedly broke out of HMP Wandsworth last 6 September by using bed sheets to strap himself to the underside of a food delivery truck, sparking a 75-hour manhunt. The 22-year-old was arrested on a canal towpath in Northolt, west London, three days later after he was pulled off a bike by a plainclothes counter-terrorism officer. Khalife was in prison…
