Stabbed to death at the Tube station

Two teenagers have denied stabbing a 28-year-old man to death outside a Tube station.

Muhamoud Mohamed Mahdi was repeatedly knifed outside Burnt Oak underground station in Edgware, northwest London, on 18 February.

Prosecutor Philip McGhee said: ‘This was a stabbing in a public place.’

The victim, from Finchley, suffered three stab wounds to the chest and despite the medical assistance of paramedics he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Christian Adom Kuta-Danku, 18, of Rayners Lane, Harrow, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named, both pleaded not guilty to a single count of murder at the Old Bailey today (weds).

The pair were remanded in custody ahead of a three-week trial on 31 October.
