Teenage girl ‘mowed down and killed by speeding driver’

  A teenage girl was catapulted into the air and died from appalling head injuries after she was struck by a speeding driver, a court heard. Raqueeb Karim, 25, was driving at up to 66mph before he collided with Fahmida Zaman, 17, as she crossed through slow moving traffic on The Broadway in Stratford, east London.
