Torture trial for ex-wife of war criminal

  The ex-wife of former Liberian president and war criminal Charles Taylor will stand trial over torture allegations in October next year. Coventry University lecturer Agnes Reeves Taylor, 51, allegedly inflicted severe pain or suffering ‘in the performance of her official duties’ in the African country between 1989 and 1991.
