Woman denies smothering mother with pillow

  A woman accused of poisoning her mother with insulin before smothering her to death with a pillow denied murder today (Mon). Shirley D’Silva, 55, is charged with the murder of Martha Pereira, 77, at their home in Croydon, south London. Mrs Perreira was found dead at the address in Morland Road after D’Silva dialled 999 on 25 October. D’Silva appeared at the Old Bailey today (Mon) where she entered her not guilty plea to a single count of murder….
