Woman denies smothering mother with pillow

  A woman accused of poisoning her mother with insulin before smothering her to death with a pillow denied murder today (Mon). Shirley D’Silva, 55, is charged with the murder of Martha Pereira, 77, at their home in Croydon, south London. Mrs Perreira was found dead at the address in Morland Road after D’Silva dialled 999 on 25 October.
