Woman denies targeting her local library in bombing campaign
A woman has denied carrying out a bombing campaign against Starbucks, McDonald’s and her local library. Martha Goddard, 49, allegedly hoarded explosive substances, including thermite, sulphur and potassium nitrate at her home while waging her campaign against public buildings between March and September 2025. She is accused of twice targeting the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library – part of a building housing the BBC’s regional headquarters – on 24 March and 21 May.
