Bogus window cleaner preyed on pensioners

A bogus window cleaner who ransacked pensioners’ homes after asking if he could use their toilet is facing jail. David Hampshire, 28, told elderly homeowners he needed the loo, then nipped into his elderly victims’ bedrooms to swipe their jewellery. Hampshire turned up to clean a 69-year-old woman’s windows in Rosedale Road, Dagenham, Essex, and asked if could use the bathroom last September.
