French father-of-two stabbed to death weeks after moving to UK

A murder suspect accused of randomly stabbing a ‘loving family man’ to death weeks after he moved to the UK will stand trial in February. Laurent Volpe, 49, was fatally wounded while he walking home from a shopping trip in Eltham, south east London, on 14 August. The random attack happened 500 yards away from the bus stop where Stephen Lawrence was murdered in a racist attack in 1993. Mr Volpe was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery but died…
