A paramedic who took more than two hours to drive a woman with a history of seizures to hospital and stopped three times on the way has been suspended for a year. Shane Kennedy, who had worked for with East Midlands Ambulance Service since April 2008, ignored policy and whisked the patient off to hospital in a fast response vehicle (FRV) instead of an ambulance.
