Russians accused of £2m fraud on UK banks

Two Russian hackers stole more than £2m from UK banks in a sophisticated cyber fraud, a court heard today (mon). Vugar Mollachiev, 36, and Abdurahman Bazaev, 28, allegedly siphoned cash through false accounts before splashing out on luxury goods. Robert Simpson, prosecuting, said: ‘These defendants are part of a cyber fraud and Mr Mollachiev is the defendant who we would say is the mastermind behind the fraud. ‘What happened is bank account are hacked into and that money is laundered…
