A 14-year-old boy set fire to Europe’s largest mosque causing £12m worth of damage a day after the building was packed with 13,000 worshippers celebrating Eid, a court heard. The teenager, who cannot be named, allegedly used a barbecue lighter to ignite flammable gel in a kitchen store cupboard at the Baitul Futuh mosque, in Morden, south London.
