A heavy drinker admitted beating a man to death when he appeared at the Old Bailey today (mon). Daniel Cummings, 38, admitted bludgeoning Carl Whitehead, 57, to death at a social housing block in Teddington, southwest London on 17 November last year. A post-mortem carried out at Kingston-upon-Thames Mortuary found the cause of death to be consistent with blunt force trauma.
