She ‘nicked £1.3m’

A woman stole more than £1.3m from property companies over a 20 year period, a court heard.

Samina Khan, 47, allegedly plundered huge sums from her employers at firms including Landmark Properties Limited between 29 January 1998 and 5 May 2017.

Jonathan Bryan, prosecuting, told Westminster Magistrates’ Court: ‘We say it’s not suitable to be dealt with here, based on the amount alone, which the prosecution say is £1,393.095 over a 10-year period.’

Khan. of Wykeham Green, Dagenham, Essex, attended court in jeans and a black jacket, and spoke only to confirm her name, address and British nationality.

She is charged with three counts of theft by employee and four counts of theft by finding.

Khan was granted unconditional bail ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing on 12 December at Southwark Crown Court.
