Jewellery thief in Poundlands punch-up
A burglar broke into a flat and stole a passport, jewellery, bank cards and Apple products, a court heard.
Stephen Nuth, 46, was also allegedly involved in a Poundland punch-up last October.
Nuth appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today (thu) to deny the charges of burglary and assault.
The prosecution argued Nuth had assaulted Peter Raggett in Poundland on Camden High Street last October 15 in a public brawl.
Earlier this month it is alleged Nuth broke into a house in Belsize Park to steal an iPad, laptop, passport, multiple cameras, bank cards and a significant amount of foreign currency.
District Judge Vanessa Baraitser told Nuth he will face a minimum of three years behind bars if convicted of the burglary.
Nuth, of Arlington Road, Camden, will face trial at Southwark Crown Court on April 23 for the charge of burglary.
He will then be tried at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on May 13 for assault.
Ends.
