Accused knife killer remanded

WALTHAMSTOW

An alleged killer charged with murder after a man was knifed to death in east London was remanded in custody today (thurs). Rizwan Abassi, 31, is accused of fatally stabbing Tomas Macionis, 35, in Alexandra Road, Walthamstow, on 31 March. The Lithuanian national died from a single wound to his chest. Abassi, of Alexandra Road, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court charged with murder. He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 6 April. ends  …
