Radical preacher Anjem Choudary ‘led banned militant group Al-Muhajiroun’

Radical preacher Anjem Choudary has appeared at the Old Bailey accused of leading and directing the banned militant network Al-Muhajiroun. Choudary, 57, and Canadian national Khaled Hussain, 28, were arrested last July for membership of the proscribed organisation. The cleric was taken into custody during a dawn raid by Met Police counter terrorism detectives in east London, while Hussain was arrested at Heathrow Airport.
