Cargo ship captain denies manslaughter after North Sea collision

The captain of a Russian cargo ship which collided with an oil tanker in the North Sea has denied killing one of his own crew by gross negligence. Vladimir Motin, 59, is charged with manslaughter after the shipmate died in the collision, which caused fears of massive environmental damage off the coast of East Yorkshire.
