seven years at the Old Bailey today.

Sex beast Vincent Eggleston, 58, subjected two vulnerable boys to a shocking catalogue of sex abuse over a nine-year period.
Earlier this month an Old Bailey jury convicted Eggleston of nine sex charges dating from between 1981 and 1990, when the boys were aged between 14 and 16.
The pervert showed no trace emotion as he was found guilty of four charges of buggery, three of indecent assault and one of false imprisonment.
He was found not guilty on three further charges of indecent assault.
Suzan Matthews, QC, defending Eggleston, told how he had been attacked by vigilante gangs while awaiting trial.
His home in Sheffield had been fire-bombed, the court was told.
The QC also told how he was left ‘ill equipped’ to deal with his sick urges after he was abused as a youngster during his time at the notorious St Vincents childrens home in Liverpool.
But jailing him for a total of seven years Judge Paul Focke, QC, told him:
‘You used your friendship with the head of a childrens home to prey on vulnerable children who were being cared for by a local authority.
‘You used those boys as mere objects upon which to satisfy your sexual cravings.
‘
The judge said he was reckless as to whether his victims ‘would be psychologically scarred.
‘
But Judge Focke accepted that to an extent that he fell ‘under the spell’ of sick care home boss Denis Jewiss, who provided him with a constant stream of youngsters.
The judge added: ‘Children who are in the care of local authorities need to be protected from people such as you and other people with similar sexual inclinations.
‘Children need to be deterred from such sexual activities.
‘
The grey-haired scaffolder, used his friendship with Jewiss, who died at the age of 73 last year, to gain access to a Surrey children’s home.
The men would take delight in abusing the boys, often on trips to the countryside.
Eggleston, who lived for a time in Chertsey, was a welcome and regular visitor to the Pinehurst Children’s home in Camberley.
He would travel from Sheffield to stay with his friend Jewiss and his wife in their flat near the home.
Together the two paedophiles subjected the youngsters to some of the worst kind of abuse imaginable.
One boy was forced to perform a sex act on Eggleston as they returned from a trip to Harrogate, Yorkshire.
The habitual pervert stopped the camper van he was driving and tried to undo the boy’s trousers.
After a struggle, Eggleston performed a sex act on the youngster egged on by Jewiss.
A second youngster was violently assaulted by the pair on a trip to Eggleston’s home in a Sheffield towerblock.
The youngster fell asleep in Eggleston’s king-size double bed only to wake up only to find out that his right arm was tied to the head board with his own belt.
In front of Jewiss and a 16-year-old, Eggleston forcibly had sex several times with the boy, causing him excruciating pain as his tormentors ordered him to relax.
The boy continued to be Eggleston’s sex slave for many years.
At 19, the boy had been in trouble with the law, and he stayed in a caravan with Eggleston.
He awoke to find the pervert abusing him.
This time he punched Eggleston and escaped.
The terrified teenager kept quite for many years until the police investigated the case.
All the boys were ‘indoctrinated that they were homosexual’, and encouraged to explore their sexuality by the two sick men.
During a trip to Sheffield, another boy was shown pornographic pictures and videos and ordered to hit Eggleston.
After this ‘grooming’ for sex, Eggleston – who would wear women’s clothes – abused him a number of times, on one occasion while watching a hardcore sex film.
Another time the boy was forced to have sex with Eggleston, which he was too scared to refuse.
The two perverts were were arrested in June last year but in death, Jewiss, known as ‘Bosun’ escaped trial.
Eggleston, of Emerson Close, Sheffield, Yorkshire, showed no emotion and clasped his hands behind his back as he was sentenced to a total of seven years.
His name will remain on the sex offenders’ register for life.
But the court was told that while Eggleston has previous convictions for dishonesty he has never been in the dock before for sexual offences.
