A scaffolder embarked on a nine-year catalogue of sex abuse against three ‘vulnerable’ boys supplied to him by a childrens home boss, the Old Bailey heard today.

Vincent Eggleston, 58, engaged in a range of perverted acts including tying one youngster to a bed and molesting him, it was alleged.
Eggleston is accused of carrying out a range of serious sexual assaults against the boys while they were residents at Pinehurst Childrens Home in Camberley, Surrey.
It was said Dennis Jewiss, the manager of the home in the 1980s joined in the abuse with Eggleston.
Jewiss, also known by the nickname ‘bosun,’ was charged with Eggleston but he died last year aged 73.
Eggleston, of Emerson Close, Sheffield, Yorks, denies 14 allegations dating from January 1981 to June 1990, and mainly centre around
the home.
Other allegations are said to have been carried out during holidays in Snake Pass, Derbyshire, Harrogate, Yorks and France.
Eggleston, denied nine indecent assaults on boys, four serious sexual assaults, and one charge of false imprisonment.
The boys were aged between 13 and 15.
Explaining the indictment to the jury Simon Connelly, prosecuting, explained that they are ‘allegations of assaults on various occasions against three young men.

One lad woke up to a sex ordeal after he was tied to a bed in his sleep, the jury heard.
