A sex brute is behind bars awaiting sentence after a jury
found him guilty of his part in a series of rape attacks on a
prostitute.
The mother of three had been threatened with a sawn-off
shotgun at the beginning of her ordeal which spanned 24 hours
between July 17 and July 18 last year, Snaresbrook Crown Court
was told.
Mr Richard Horwell, prosecuting, had said that the 33-year-old
victim had been been soliciting in Lordship Road, Stamford Hill, when
she was abducted by Sayed Abbas, 23, and Adnan Malik, who was only
16 at the time.
She was horrendously abused by the pair in a dark alleyway in
Stoke Newington before she was bundled into Abbas’s car boot and
driven to her flat in Woodford Green where the attack continued.
The court heard that in the next ‘stage’ of the violent sexual
assaults Abbas returned to her home with Martin Malik, 20, and both
forced her to submit to a variety of perverted acts.
Jobless Martin Malik was found guilty by the jury – who reached
their decision in about 40 minutes – of a single charge of rape, one
of committing an unnatural act and one of indecent assault.
Smartly dressed Martin Malik, of Abbots Road, East Ham, had
denied the charges.
He chose not to give evidence during the trial.
Judge Owen Stable, QC, remanded him in custody until March 19
when he will be sentenced alongside Abbas, of Katherine Road, and
Adnan Malik, now 17, of Spencer Road, both East Ham.
At the beginning of the four day case Abbas and Adnan Malik,
both pleaded guilty to charges of kidnap, rape, indecent assault,
robbery, committing unnatural acts with the woman and firearm
offences.
Judge Stable had ordered pre-sentence on all three and psychiatric
reports in Adnan Malik’s case.
