Accused of bankrolling terrorism

A CCTV operator accused of sending cash to a Pakistani terrorist was remanded in custody. Asim Majid, 29, allegedly sent £280 to the jihadi in Peshawar, Pakistan, between 30 January and 9 February this year. Majid used encryption technology to mask his identity, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard. Prosecutor Carl Kelvin said Majid had regular contact on chat rooms with ‘like-minded’ people.
