Asylum seeker wanted for assault case in Germany fled to UK immigrant camp
An Iranian asylum seeker who came to the UK in small boat after carrying out a knifepoint assualt on a woman in Germany has appeared in court. Aref Sadeghi, 30, gave a false name when he was arrested at Crowborough Training Camp in East Sussex, Westminster magistrates court heard. German prosecutors are now attempting to extradite him to face trial.
