Ban for nurse who loaned phone to lag
A prison nurse who let an inmate use her mobile phone for more than three hours has been suspended for six months. Sally Houghton handed over the handset to Daniel Williams at HMP North Sea Camp in Lincolnshire after he told her he was experiencing family problems. She then allowed him to use it unsupervised for three-and-a-half hours before it was returned. The next day Houghton received a call from an unknown number that turned out to be Williams’ ex-partner….
