A pensioner hid bank accounts from the local council to rake in £50,000 worth of undeserved benefits over a decade, a court heard. Hugh Cumberbatch, 81, is accused of lying to the City of Westminster Council when he signed an application for housing and council tax benefits back in December 2004.
