Bulgarian denies murdering fellow countryman

A Bulgarian denied murdering a 60-year-old fellow countryman when he appeared at the Old Bailey. Nikolay Zhivkov, 44, is accused of killing compatriot Krasimir Kartikov on 12 January this year. Mr Kartikov’s body was discovered two days later when police were called to (236) Whitehorse Road, Croydon. He had suffered multiple injuries.
