Cabbie prosecuted for hurting a cop’s ear by shouting into a megaphone

A taxi driver is being prosecuted for causing a police officer a ‘really sharp pain’ in his ear by using a  megaphone at a demonstration. James Farrar, 51, allegedly used the loudhailer in ‘close proximity’ to Pol Sgt James Lewis and PC Ann Spinks during an Uber driver protest against the congestion charge in Parliament Square.
