Cop ‘raped woman in the sea’

A serving Met Police sergeant raped a woman in the sea while on a stag do in Brighton, a court heard. PS Laurence Knight, 33, is said to have carried out the attack on July 17 last year. He was not on duty at the time and was suspended from Stoke Newington Police Station, north London after the allegation was made.
