Couple deny £48,000 Grenfell Tower scam

A couple today (mon) denied claiming nearly £48,000 meant for survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire. Carmel Daly, 49, and Robert Kenneally (corr), 51, allegedly claimed £47,802 in accommodation, goods and services from the disaster fund between 14 June 2017 and 23 August of last year. Daly appeared at Isleworth Crown Court leaning heavily on a walking stick and wearing a suit jacket and white trousers. Kenneally appeared beside her in the dock wearing a suit.
