Senior prison officer said convict was ‘my mate at Wanno’

Two married jail bosses secured ‘unauthorised’ access to information about inmates on the prison computer system, a court heard. Pete Nichols, 49,  held senior roles at HMP Wormwood Scrubs including Head of Intelligence and Security and Head of Business Assurance. Nichols along with convicted criminal Gareth Casella, 43, allegedly carried out a series of checks on serving prisoners using the prison computer system.
