Detective was too drunk to come to court

A detective who had an affair with a suspect was nearly thrown into the cells for getting too drunk to come to court. An arrest warrant was issued for Grant McPherson, 37, after he failed to show up for his 11am hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
