Cop in court accused of using too much force when arresting suspect

A police officer accused has appeared in court accused of using unlawful force against a suspected car thief. Omer Farok, 33, is said to have assaulted Haile Ghebre-Hiwot by beating him on 15 June 2024 in Holborn, London. The officer was responding to a report that a man had allegedly broken into a vehicle.
