Driver was metally ill and had cocaine in her bloodstream when she killed pensioner

A mentally ill driver killed a 77-year-old woman when she reversed into her in her 4×4, a court heard. When Joanna Maynard, 44, ran over Elsie Sprague at John Drinkwater Close, Leytonstone, she though she had just reversed over the kerb, Thames Magistrates Court heard today (Wed).
