Former Scottish laird to face trial on strangling charge

A former Scottish laird accused of strangling a woman will have to wait more than a year for his trial. Malcolm Potier, 72, denied assaulting Kirsty O’Donnell and ‘non-fatal strangulation’ on June 7 last year when he appeared at Southwark Crown Court.
