Former Tory campaign director and wife admit election gambling offences

The Conservative Party’s former director of campaigning today (thurs) admitted passing confidential information to his wife over the timing of the 2024 general election so they could have a flutter. Anthony Lee, 49, and his wife, Laura, 38, are among 15 individuals who were charged following a probe by the Gambling Commission.
