Fraudster impersonated bank customer

A woman who impersonated an 81-year-old bank customer in a bid to steal £7,000 from her account has been spared jail. June Hall, 63, posed as her elderly victim using a forged passport and other fake documents. Fortunately staff at Nationwide in Victoria grew suspicious of Hall and called police before she got her hand on a penny, Southwark Crown Court heard.
