Handbag thief Margarita Torres commuted from Spain to steal from Harrods

A thief who travelled from Spain to steal £20k of handbags from Harrods has been jailed. Margarita Del Carmen Valdes Torres, 38, visited the world famous department store on five separate occasions. The Spaniard stole a Hermes bag, a Valentino bag, a Chanel bag, a YSL bag and a Gucci bag and sunglasses. She was chased down West Brompton road and detained by a security guard on 10 May and was subsequently arrested. The total value of the theft was £19,355….
