‘I did it for the money,’ says people smuggler
A Sikh who sneaked nearly 70 Afghan asylum seekers into the UK in a ‘cynical money-making enterprise’ claimed he only did it because he was in dire financial straits. Daljit Kapoor, 41, cousin Harmit Kapoor, 42, and Davinder Chawla, 44, provided passports belonging to British Sikhs to help lookalikes into the country between May and June 2014.
