Jail for smisher

A computer science student who made a fortune from a ‘smishing’ scam has been jailed for 22 months. Abdisalaam Dahir, 20, fleeced his victims out of more than £185,000 by sending out texts pretending to be from the Royal Mail, HMRC and mobile phone providers.
