A judge has slammed the parents of teenage rioters who ‘don’t seem to care.’
Judge Elizabeth Roscoe was dealing with a 14-year-old rioter who allegedly looted makeup, CDs and clothes from high street shops.
The slight teenager, stole clothes from H & M, on High Road, Wood Green north London, it is claimed.
She was also charged with stealing perfume and makeup from Boots, on the same street, and four CDs worth £32 from a nearby HMV.
The girl, who did not enter a plea to any charges, was released on bail and told her mother was coming to pick her up.
Judge Roscoe told her: ‘You should be grateful your mother is coming. Many others have no-one coming to get them because they don’t seem to care.’
The 14-year-old is next due to appear at Haringey Youth Court on August 18.
