Jury trial for stealing a copper’s hat

Two business students accused of drunkenly stealing a policewoman’s hat have chosen to be tried by a jury. Benjamin Guske, 24, and Sam Van Merwijk, 24, attempted to grab PC Sharon Cook’s ‘bowler’ in central London on 10 May, it is claimed.
