Lawyer ‘concealed cash’ in banker’s scam

A solicitor hid the proceeds of a multi-million loan scam for corrupt bankers who blew a fortune on ‘luxurious foreign travel and high-class escorts’, a court heard. Roger Hawes, 56, socialised with crooked investment banker David Mills and holidayed on Mills’ 30-metre yacht named ‘The Powder Monkey.’ Jurors were also shown photos of Hawes celebrating Mills’ wife’s 40th birthday in Barbados.
