‘Murdered for his bling’

A mugging victim was stabbed to death on a basketball court as he tried to recover his ‘bling’ jewellery, a court heard. Asadiq Mohamed, 23, was robbed of three gold chains in Silkstream Park in Edgware, northwest London, on 31 May 2021. He was then knifed when he had the ‘temerity’ to try and recover them, the Old Bailey heard.
