wheelie…1
A mother-of-two accused of killing a man and hiding his body in a wheelie bin at her home has today (Fri) denied murder.
Shaun Corey, 42, is said to have died up to a fortnight before his remains were discovered wrapped in a tarpaulin in the bin Forest Hill, southeast London, on June 15 this year.
Appearing via video-link from Holloway prison, Karen Otmani, wept as she was denied bail during the short hearing before the Old Bailey.
The 41-year-old, whose trial date has not yet been set, will return to court on October 14 for a preliminary hearing in the case.
Her co-accused, Bernard Beddoe, 51, is charged with assisting an offender after allegedly helping Otmani to hide the body.
Beddoe, of Revelon Road, Brockley, southeast London, will next appear in court on December 15 to enter a plea.
Mr Corey, originally from Rossendale, Lancashire, is said to have been killed on an unknown date between June 3 and June 16.
Otmani, of (251A) Stanstead Road, Forest Hill, southeast London, denies murder.
