Pensioner David Notley jailed for chanting in Whitehall protests

A pensioner who chanted ‘You’re not English anymore’ at police during the disorder on Whitehall has been jailed for 20 months. David Notley, 67, was part of a crowd that clashed with officers on 31 July. Police had told protesters that the demonstration would have to end at 8:30pm and they would have to remain on the pavement of Richmond Terrace opposite Downing Street.
