  A wine firm boss who skipped bail to ‘see his mother’ in Italy has been found guilty of a £45million tax scam in his absence. Livio Mazzarello, 56, dodged paying tax by selling hundreds of thousands of cases ‘under the counter’ for cash. The scam at The Italian Wine Company based in Neasden, northwest London, lasted for five years before it was busted by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
