Prison officer smuggled weed into jail

A female prison officer who brought tobacco and cannabis into a jail has walked free from court. Nana Amankwaa, 41, was caught smuggling 12.1 grams of weed and 29.9g of tobacco into HMP Brixton while working there. The Crown accepted that the cannabis was for personal use, but Amankwaa admitted the tobacco was for inmates, Inner London Crown Court heard.
