A shopper was gunned down in the street when hitmen opened fire in a botched assassination attempt, a court heard. Suzette Martey was carrying two lampshades from Argos to her sister’s house in Harlesden, northwest London, when she spotted two gunmen tiptoeing towards her on 22 April last year.
