Slum landlord allowed 60-year-old to roast

A landlord in one of London’s most exclusive areas has been handed a record fine for endangering the lives of his tenants. Matthew Joseph must pay more than £30,000 after a 60-year-old man was left to suffer an ‘appalling quality of life’ because of an badly positioned boiler. Joseph allowed residents to live in ‘squalid and dangerous conditions’ at his property in Princes Square, Bayswater.
